About us

Haworthiafrica is a small specialist nursery run by Clinton Grobler located in Cape Town, South Africa. We specialise in cultivating haworthia and have the necessary conservation permits to grow, sell & export protected indigenous South African succulent plants.

We are mostly interested in producing new or unique Haworthia hybrids and good clones of a select number of Haworthia species. We offer original seed-grown developing haworthia seedlings, natural offsets of some of our best clones/ cultivars as well as mature breeding stock plants on our website when available. We do not currently sell tissue cultured plants but if we ever do they will be clearly labelled.

The original clones we first used for hybridising haworthia were from some of the best growers & nurseries in the world and our seedlings now carry their good genetics which will compound with further breeding. As a result our selection of mother plants is continually improving with each season and our goal is to offer better & better plants to collectors with time!

We have also recently started with Tulista hybrids which we will start to offer when a bit larger & enjoy growing a few other succulent species such as selected Euphorbia, Astrophytum, Lophophora, Copiapoa, Lithops, Conophytum etc.
